Privacy Policy

We collect information needed to create and operate your account, including your name, email address, Auth0 account identifier, age confirmation, selected role, and the profile information you choose to provide. This can include professional background, goals, availability, mentoring preferences, and an optional profile image.

We also collect information created through your use of Doppel, such as invitations, connections, messages, shared notes, session-related records, feedback, community posts and comments, and AI conversations when you use an AI feature. Basic technical and security information, including service logs and device or browser data, is processed to keep the product reliable and secure.

Doppel uses this information to authenticate you, administer invitations, build and display profiles, support mentoring connections, deliver messages and shared workspace features, provide optional AI features, protect the community, respond to support requests, and improve the reliability of the product.

Your profile and community activity may be visible to other Doppel members as part of the features you choose to use. Information you intentionally share in a match, message, note, or community discussion can be seen by the other people authorized for that space.

Doppel uses service providers to operate the product, including authentication, cloud hosting and private media storage, and an AI provider when you use AI features. They may process information only to provide their service to Doppel. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Profile images are stored in private object storage and are delivered through controlled access rather than a public bucket. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect account and community information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, resolve support or safety issues, and meet applicable obligations. If you delete your account, Doppel deletes your Auth0 identity, profile, avatar, private tokens, and private AI conversations, ends your active matches, and prevents future access. Messages already delivered to another member and shared mentorship materials they need for continuity may remain in their records, with your identity anonymized as “Deleted Doppel member.”

You can update profile information in Doppel and can request account deletion from your settings. For access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions that the product does not let you complete yourself, contact [email protected].

We may update this Policy as Doppel changes. We will post the updated version here with a revised effective date. The Terms of Service describe when we may ask for renewed acceptance.
